Bolton Council:
Community Champions
For Bolton Council we created an 8-minute film and additional social media clips that captured the essence of the ‘Community Champions’ in Bolton and the key components of the ‘Champions’ government funded program. We achieved this through interviews with volunteers, the public and strategic partners, alongside establishing footage of the local area and the ‘Champions’ in action at events and during activities.
As part of a government plan, Bolton Council started a campaign known as the ‘Community Champions’ towards the latter end of 2021. The aim of the campaign was to help support the council and the community during the Covid pandemic and help educate and protect vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Funding included services such as food banks, veterans care, vaccination advice and checking in on the elderly.
The content we produced represented and showcased the ‘Community Champions’ in their own voice and style as they engaged in programmes and activities supported by community organisations, the government and finance awarded via the Bolton Fund. The film highlighted Bolton’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and how, through partnerships and activities within the local community, they responded proactively to the recovery and rebuilding of the community.
Community Champions Make a Difference in Bolton
The ‘Community Champions’ program has made a significant difference in Bolton. Volunteers have helped to provide food and support to those in need, vaccinated people, and checked in on the elderly. The program has also helped to build stronger relationships between the community and the council.
The film we produced is a powerful testament to the work of the ‘Community Champions’. It is a story of hope, resilience, and community spirit. We hope that the film will inspire others to get involved and make a difference in their own communities.
If you are interested in becoming a ‘Community Champion’, please visit the Bolton Council website. You can also make a donation to the Bolton Fund to help support the program.
